Congratulations 2018 SWANA International Road-E-O Winners!
The SWANA International ROAD-E-O is an annual competition that gives 1st and 2nd place State ROAD-E-O winners from across the United States and North America the opportunity to compete for cash prizes, awards, trophies, and, for the best of the best, the title of “Top Gun.” The 2018 International was hosted by the Colorado Rocky Mountain Chapter of SWANA on September 22, 2018 at the Denver International Airport and the awards were presented during a banquet at Coors Field, in Downtown Denver.
Eric Berlier from the City of Merced won the
First Place Top Gun Award in the Automated Front Load Division
Ricky Rodriguez from Republic Services of Fresno won
Second Place in the Automated Side Loader Division
Eric and Ricky competed against drivers from across the country. Both drivers represented California well at this year’s Road-E-O in Denver Colorado. They each placed in their respective divisions and Eric came home with the Top Gun Award for the highest overall score in all driving divisions.
Congratulations to both drivers!
Our Chapter would like to thank Republic Services and the City of Merced for sending these drivers to represent our State.
