2009 Scholarship Award
The Sierra Chapter congratulates Laura Greenwood, daughter of Eric Greenwood of the Kern County Waste Management Department, on winning the Chapter's Richard H. Townley Scholarship and going on to win SWANA International's Grant H. Flint Scholarship for $2,000. This is the second time in the last three years that a winner of the Sierra Chapter's scholarship has gone on to win the Grant H. Flint Scholarship; Laura's sister, Kate, accomplished the same feat in 2007.
